Scope and Sequence
Our Sunday school scope and sequence is based on the International Sunday School Lesson/Uniform Series, a six-year plan for reading and studying the Bible. The series includes more than just Sunday school lessons, but daily Bible readings as well. By participating in the Uniform Series, a believer will be given help in knowing the content of the Bible, to understand its message, and to respond to that message by living a life of faith and love.
Here is a quick look at the Scope and Sequence for 2012.
- Spring 2012: focus on “God’s Creative Word ” and study Scripture passages from John.
- Summer 2012: focus on “God Calls for Justice ” and study Scripture passages from the Pentateuch, History books, Psalms, and Prophets.
- Fall 2012: focus on “A Living Faith” and study Scripture passages from Psalms, Acts, 1 Corinthians, and Hebrews.
- Winter 2012-13: focus on “Jesus Is Lord” and study Scripture passages from John, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians.
