- How does the gospel break down barriers between various kinds of people?
- What does it mean that we, as Christians, are “Abraham’s seed” and “heirs according to the promise”?
Read Galatians 4:1-7 and discuss the following questions with your group.
- According to Paul’s metaphor for spiritual realities, what are the differences between an underage heir, a slave, and an adult son?
- What is significant about the fact that Jesus was “born of a woman” and “born under the law”?
- What does it mean to you that you can call God “Father”?

Lead your class in a discussion of the following questions.
- What kind of people are you tempted to write off as hopeless in terms of following Jesus?
- When have you witnessed the power of Christ breaking down walls of prejudice or disharmony?
- How has being a follower of Christ impacted your attitude toward people different than you? How could you grow more in that area?
